Faculty Hiring includes approval to recruit (opening a search), screening, approval to interview (faculty search update), and approval to offer (hiring proposal). Once the process is complete, the hire is ready for epaf to hire and put into the system. Approval to Interview (Faculty Search Update Process):
As of January 1, 2021 – Faculty Search Update Forms are required twice — once before candidates are invited for Screening Interviews and once before candidates are invited for Final Interviews.
**We’re excited to announce that The Office for Faculty has launched a new mechanism for submitting Faculty Search Updates. This new Online Portal allows for the entire process to be electronic**

Approval to Make an Offer:
Approval to make first an oral offer and second a written offer happens through the PeopleAdmin Hiring Proposal process. Please, do not contact your candidates prior to receiving approval.
When to make an Oral Offer: Once the AVP for Faculty has reviewed the PeopleAdmin Hiring Proposal, you will receive an email either with questions, or with approval to begin oral negotiations.
When to make a Written Offer: Once the Office for Faculty moves the PeopleAdmin Hiring Proposal to “Hire Approved,” you may send a written offer to the candidate for their signature.
